Rockin It

I tell you I am getting brave when it comes to sewing for myself

I will probably tell you a million times that I am oddly shaped, I have never been able to buy dresses, but even pants that fit are hard to find.

Now I have Dylan by Designer Stitch in my life I am super happy.

To start my complaining lol,  I have a slightly longer torso at the back than most, but not much bottom, slightly short torso at the front, very little hip and shapely calves.

A big thank you to Ann at Designer Stitch who helped me adjust this pattern for a perfect fit.

Firstly I added 1.5 inches to the back rise using this tutorial

I also adjusted the front rise by removing 1" from the front rise, using this tutorial

because of having no hips I also moved the front seam like it shows in the tutorial to get rid of some bagginess.

For my shapely legs I chose to make my pants from Cotton Sateen. Nice and firm with a bit of stretch.

These are now my favourite pants, back to wearing lots of blue (which make me happy, my husband not so much lol)

Here is the link for the pattern
