COVER GIRL

WOOHOO, I'M SOOOO EXCITED.
I have been working as a brand ambassador for Rebecca Page for just over a year now and for the very first time I woke up a Cover Model (well my sewing and photography)

OVER THE TOP EXCITED
Of course this was far from the only photo I took lol, Here a few more

This shows you just how functional it is, not just pretty with all those 80's colour feels

Speaking of the 80's let's add a headband

This is Rebecca Page's Bun Hat pattern. It can be made in warm fabrics but I made it in lycra to go with the rest of the outfit.

Now the top Mackenzie is wearing is the same pattern from my last post

This new pattern though has a few options for me to show you

First up you can just make tights without the shorts. They have a beautiful high waist, with exposed elastic. They are super quick to sew, like 15 minutes.

There is even a really short length, which is perfect length for the dancers out there, really good butt coverage without being Nanna length lol

Took a bit of a walk down at the Jetty and took just a few more photos lol

You can grab all these patterns now from the links bellow

Bianca Baby

Dance classes are about to go back here in the southern hemisphere so now is the time to make sure you have the latest pattern from Rebecca Page

It is such a fast sew, which was really important for me as Bianca was only home for 2 weeks over Christmas.

Bianca is wearing the basic version. It is lined and all the seams are enclosed so it is very comfortable to wear.

The side seams are on a diagonal towards the front, giving a very slimming look (not that Bianca needs that)

The racer back sits perfectly around her shoulder blades which is really important for Bianca, so she can move comfortably

This bralette is size xxs and is made of Lycra from Spotlight

Here are a few detail shots of the front an sides

Of course it wouldn't be a fun photoshoot without Bianca being her true self.

to get this first shot I told her she was being to much

Bianca being sexy

Asked her to do something with her hands

Suggested we needed a side shot

This was her saying "if I can't be silly are we finished?"

Bianca decided to team the bralette with a pair of Pose Pleated Pants in Crepe.

Here are the links to the patterns

Both patterns are available in kids sizes too

Doing my bit with a FREEBIE

This year I have decided to do my bit for the planet by not buying any new clothes. I will make do with what I have or sew what I need.
With this in mind I went through all my clothes and found a pair of jeans that couldn't be repaired 😢
I didn't just want to throw them away adding to the tons of clothes that end up in landfill every year, so I went looking for an easy scrap busting pattern.

This is Rebecca Page's

It turned out really cute with my handbag but when my 13 year old niece came over and we found a few different ways to use it

 Makes a lovely wrist cuff

We wrapped the cuff part around her hair twice for a cute hair tie

Then we realised it would make a cute ring too

This was such a quick, no sew make because I used the hem of the jeans to make the cuff. The only thing that cost anything was 2 sets of snaps.

Awesome FREE school holiday fun that's good for the planet too

Bubbles with Chloe

Meet Miss M she is all ready for one very hot summer here in Australia.
Her out fit is from Rebecca Page
and

The Chloe Cami is very flowy, for this one I used two different linen blends
the linen gives it a bit of structure, I think my next one will be rayon so it's even more flowy

The back comes with a few options, I particularly liked the double strap with the cross over. I used the fabric from the underneath layer for the crossover and the standard straps were the same as the top fabric

The Berry Bubbles shorts have some really cool features like the button up front, I used kam snaps. It has a very flattering flat front and an elasticised waist. I am not generally a fan of elasticised waists for adult clothing but I have been really happy with the shape that Rebecca Page have achieved with elasticised waists. I did hack the pattern a little by altering the pockets, the original pattern had jean style pockets but I prefer the ease of inseam pockets

Miss M and I tucked up the top into the back to show her cute little shorts even more and it made me think this shape would make such a cute crop top, maybe a hack for me in the future.

Anyway better get back to my |Christmas sewing, still sooo much to sew and almost no time!!!!

A bit of ......

Sass? Class? either way the new Phoebe Dress from Rebecca Page is stunning!!!!!
I have gorgeous Miss Holly modelling for me again but she has grown up a little bit since her Pretty Pink photo shoot

The Phoebe Party Dress is FREE and comes with a couple of options.
If you want even more options you can buy the add-on pack, the options with that purchase is almost endless!!!!!

I chose the modesty panel option from the free version

I used stretch mesh for the centre modesty panel and the rest of the dress is a quilting cotton, I used Poplin for the lining

I went with an exposed zipper rather than an invisible zipper
For two reasons
1. I hate invisible zipper, I am not good at putting them in
2. It gave the back a bit of flashiness

I ended up drafting the skirt myself, it is a simple circle skirt, with horsehair braid.

I wish I had taken a photo of the inside because it is where this dress really shines. The bodice is made using the burrito roll method so that there are no exposed seams. It is such a professional finish, I was really impressed!!!!

This was one of my favourite photos of the Phoebe Party Dress because it looks just as cute with a pair of sneakers as it does with high heels 💓

Twas The Night Before Christmas

Well I guess Christmas came early in our house lol, seeing as it's only November.
One of the greatest things about Christmas is the anticipation from the children the night before.
Our youngest is 10 now and I'm trying to squeeze out as much child like Christmas joy as I possibly can!
With that in mind I made him a new pair of P.Js to get ready for the big night

The pattern is from Rebecca Page. It's called The Family PJs.

It comes with lots of options

Master D is wearing long pants with a short sleeved shirt.
MD has Autism and he has a few quirks, like being very fussy about what he will wear, especially to bed! He absolutely loves Star Wars though so I knew I was onto a winner when I picked the fabric.
Thank goodness Spotlight were having a sale.

Took a bit to convince him to a photo shoot in them. I ended up bribing him with Lego (Star Wars of course)
He loves them so much that he has worn them every night this month. I am one happy mummy :)

This pattern doesn't just come in kids though it also has a mens and a ladies version, so I made up the ladies for my Adorable Adara.

AAs set is shorts with a short sleeved top. I choose a couple of added options for this set.

I used piping for the collar (don't stress the pattern comes with a tutorial) and a pocket.

AA was also thrilled about getting her photo taken hahahaha

There you have it, at least 2 of my kids are ready for the night before Christmas.

You can grab this pattern while it's on sale using my affiliate link below

(you can also get a free sleep mask pattern when you buy the bundle)
